The People's City Mission, in conjunction with Hy-Vee, Broadcast House, Time Warner Cable, Two Men and a Truck, and Big Red Self Storage, will team up to bring the earthquake victims in Haiti needed water.
February 3rd through February 9th, at all five Lincoln Hy-Vee locations, you can purchase cases of water and donate them directly into the trucks provided by Two Men and a Truck, parked in the Hy-Vee parking lot. When each truck is full, the water will be transported and stored at Big Red Self Storage. After February 9th, national relief organization Convoy of Hope will pick up the water and ship it to Haiti as part of their ongoing humanitarian relief effort.
"We all feel that we are being called to help the people of Haiti and help survivors as much as possible," said People's City Mission's Pastor Tom Barber. "There are many ways people can help the people of Haiti, but we feel this project, unlike some others, will result in 100% of the donations making it to the end users in Haiti."
You are encouraged to add a case of water to your normal purchases from February 3rd through February 9th while shopping at Lincoln Hy-Vees!
